To my never-ending surprise at "what's out there", the audio is on Youtube - just listening to the recording, I wish i could go back to October '78 to better appreciate what and who I was seeing/hearing - the crowd were really into it, clapping throughout from 16.15. The crowd was enormous and it was impossible to get anywhere near the stage. Lynott and his team toughened up the song’s arrangement up for 1975’s Fighting, wherein it afforded the band’s new lead guitarists, Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham, an early opportunity to display. On that date, due to management/sponsor "negotiations", Thin Lizzy went on before co-tourer US band, Wha-koo, who had the big radio hit in Oz at that time. I was at the free Myer Music Bowl show in Melbourne that month sponsored by an AM radio station.
